Job summary

Southern Hospitality is seeking a Warehouse Person for our North Island Distribution centre in Mount Maunganui. The role focuses on picking, packing and dispatching customer orders with accuracy, while supporting a fast-paced, high-performing team. You will contribute to a culture that values reliability, effort and job satisfaction.

Workdays are Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm. A full NZ driver’s license is required; forklift license is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or fast-paced environment experience would be beneficial

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack orders at pace as part of a team
• Complete large volume orders and pack onto pallets
• Dispatch goods in a timely manner
• Operate a forklift and stock picker when required
• Cycle counting of stock
• Lift heavy boxes up to 20kg and stand for 8 hours
• Keep warehouse areas clean and tidy

The role

We are excited to offer the opportunity to join our high performing, close knit and fun team as a Warehouse Person at our North Island Distribution centre in Mount Maunganui.

In this role you will ensure that all customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched efficiently with a high level of accuracy. The customer is everything to Us.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Working as a team to Pick and pack orders at pace
• Completing large volume orders and packing onto pallets
• Dispatching goods in a timely manner
• Driving a forklift and stock picker
• Cycle counting
• Lifting heavy boxes, occasionally upwards of 20kg and being on your feet 8 hours a day
• Making sure the warehouse areas are kept clean and tidy

We are looking for someone who:

• Is available to work Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
• Is reliable, has a positive work ethic, is hungry for a challenge and desires job satisfaction
• Has a full NZ driver’s license and a current forklift license is desirable but not essential
• Ideally, you will also have experience in a warehouse-type role (receiving and dispatching goods and/or picking, packing and dispatching customer orders), hospitality or a fast-paced work environment
