Job summary

Stellar Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Forklift/Factory Operator for a busy New Zealand manufacturing site in Christchurch. You will move materials, support production and operate factory equipment on a daily basis.

This role requires a current forklift licence, physical fitness, and a safety-first mindset. Training on site machinery is provided, with opportunities for overtime and a stable team environment.

Qualifications

• Current forklift licence with practical operating experience.
• Experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics environment.
• Combi lift experience preferred but not essential.
• Gantry crane experience advantageous, however training can be provided.
• Willingness to learn and operate factory machinery.
• Strong commitment to health and safety procedures.
• Physically fit to push steel bins weighing up to 100 kg.
• Ability to work independently and follow processes.
• Reliable, motivated and able to use initiative.
• Positive attitude and team-first approach.
• No criminal convictions.
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

This is a varied position that combines forklift operation with factory machinery operation, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on role and being involved in multiple areas of the business.

You will be responsible for moving materials, assisting with production processes, operating factory equipment, and ensuring products are handled safely and efficiently. Full training will be provided on site-specific machinery.

This is not a forklift-only role. The successful candidate will be willing to assist wherever required and become a valued member of a small, close-knit team.

About The Role

Shifts & Pay

• $27+ an hour depending on experience
• Monday - Friday: 7:00am - 3:30pm
• Regular over time of 5:00am starts available
