Job summary

Free Flow Manufacturing in Auckland is seeking an experienced Inwards Goods Operator to join our team. This hands-on role focuses on receiving, checking, and safely storing incoming raw materials, ingredients, packaging and other goods to support production.

You will operate a forklift, verify quantities and batch details, enter stock into the inventory system, maintain accurate records, and help with stocktakes while keeping the warehouse safe and organised.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence required.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and checking incoming deliveries against purchase orders and documentation.
• Safely unloading trucks and moving stock around the site.
• Operating a forklift to unload, transport and store pallets in a fast-paced environment.
• Checking quantities, product details, batch numbers and dates.
• Entering stock accurately into the inventory system.
• Ensuring stock is stored in the correct location and rotated.
• Identifying damaged goods, shortages or discrepancies and reporting them.
• Assisting with stocktakes and inventory control.
• Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe.
• Supporting production and wider operations as needed.

Inwards Goods Operator

Free Flow Manufacturing is looking for a reliable and experienced Inwards Goods Operator to join our team.

This is a hands-on role within our manufacturing operation, responsible for receiving, checking and safely storing incoming raw materials, ingredients, packaging and other goods. You will play an important role in ensuring our production teams have the right materials, at the right time, with accurate stock records. Stock counts will also be required.

About the Role

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Receiving and checking incoming deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documentation
• Safely unloading trucks and moving stock throughout the site
• Operating a forklift to unload, transport and store pallets (fast paced environment)
• Checking quantities, product details, batch numbers and dates
• Entering stock accurately into our inventory system
• Ensuring stock is stored in the correct location and rotated appropriately
• Identifying and reporting damaged goods, shortages or discrepancies
• Assisting with stocktakes and inventory control
• Keeping the warehouse and receiving areas clean, organised and safe
• Supporting production and the wider operations team when required

About You

You will ideally have:

• Strong forklift operating skills and experience
• A current forklift licence
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Previous warehouse, logistics or manufacturing experience
• Good numeracy and literacy skills

• A reliable and positive attitude
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Accuracy is critical

This role will suit someone who is naturally organised and detail-focused. You will be responsible for ensuring the quantities, batches, product information and stock locations are correct, so accuracy and attention to detail are essential.

You must also be a confident forklift operator who can work safely and efficiently in a busy manufacturing environment.
