Job summary

Compass Group New Zealand is seeking a Fixed Term Cleaning Assistant to support NZDF Waiouru Military Camp on parental leave cover.

You will clean accommodation rooms, bathrooms and shared facilities to a high standard, across a Monday to Sunday roster, with safety and guest comfort at the fore. This eight-month assignment offers an above-market hourly rate and corporate benefits. Local induction and safety training provided.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is preferred
• High cleanliness standards and personal presentation
• Reliable, hardworking and flexible attitude
• Good communication and a positive manner
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical fitness and commitment to health and safety
• NZ residency or valid NZ work visa is required

Responsibilities

• Clean accommodation rooms, bathrooms and shared facilities to a high standard
• Vacuum, mop, dust, disinfect surfaces and stain removal
• Make beds and prepare clean, comfortable rooms for guests
• Remove waste and replenish supplies
• Use cleaning equipment, materials and chemicals safely
• Follow health and safety procedures and assist with urgent cleans
