Job summary

KiwiQuest in Cromwell, Otago is seeking an onsite cleaning and housekeeping assistant for the cherry-growing season. You will maintain hygiene, clean facilities, and assist with food service as the first contact for resident seasonal staff.

The role runs from November to February with potential extra hours in the packhouse; you must stay onsite and be legally eligible to work in New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Must stay onsite.
• Ability to work legally in New Zealand.
• Reliable cleaning and hygiene practices.

• Availability for seasonal work from November to February.
• Seasonal role in a cherry-growing orchard.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hygiene in smoko rooms, toilets, bathrooms and camping facilities.
• Clean bathrooms and kitchen areas morning and afternoon.
• Vacuum cabins weekly where possible.
• Check smoke detectors and maintain food safety standards.
• Prepare food and beverages as required.
• Wash and store bedding at season end.
• Report camp complaints to the appropriate manager.
