Job summary

WM NZ Limited is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to grow our presence across the Waikato. You’ll meet prospective customers, understand their needs and tailor solutions to help businesses achieve sustainable waste and resource recovery outcomes.

You’ll be out in the market building relationships, driving opportunities, and representing a well-established New Zealand company with a focus on sustainability and customer success.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in business development, sales, account management or a customer-facing commercial role.
• Strong relationship-building skills and a drive to succeed.
• Comfortable meeting new people and presenting solutions.
• Ability to manage a pipeline and achieve sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and developing new business opportunities across the Waikato
• Prospecting and building a strong pipeline of potential customers
• Meeting prospective customers face-to-face
• Managing your sales pipeline from initial conversation through to conversion
• Representing WM brand with professionalism, energy and enthusiasm
• Keeping up to date with market trends and customer needs
