Job summary

IDEXX is seeking a high-performing Veterinary Diagnostic Consultant to join our Companion Animal Group (CAG) sales team in New Zealand. You will cover the Lower North Island (Wellington, Kapiti, Manawatu, East Coast) and the Otago/Southland fly-in region, driving sales of IDEXX diagnostic solutions and services to veterinary clinics.

We value relationship-building, consultative selling, and the ability to work independently across a large territory.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of success in sales, business development, account management, or customer-facing roles.
• Proven ability to build relationships and influence outcomes via consultative sales.
• Confident using CRM systems and data to drive customer outcomes.
• Strong planning, organizational and territory management capabilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales growth by delivering IDEXX diagnostic solutions to veterinary customers in your territory.
• Build and strengthen relationships with veterinary clinics to achieve business and clinical goals.
• Identify new business opportunities and achieve new account targets.
• Manage territory covering lower North Island including Wellington, Kapiti, Manawatu, and East Coast, plus Otago/Southland fly-in region.
• Develop and execute strategic territory and customer development plans.
• Present IDEXX products, laboratory services, and diagnostic innovations integrated through software to customers.
• Leverage data and IDEXX ecosystem to create value and drive loyalty.
• Maintain accurate customer records and sales activities in Salesforce CRM.
• Collaborate with Customer Support, Marketing, Technical Support, and Reference Laboratory teams.
• Attend industry events, customer meetings, and educational activities.
