Trade Assist is seeking a reliable Vehicle Operations & Service Coordinator to support our Auckland operation. You will help move rental vehicles, assist customers and maintain smooth branch operations in a flexible, hands-on role.

The position involves vehicle checks, basic maintenance, and using digital systems to manage reports and bookings. Some weeks require more hours, with a focus on customer service and efficient vehicle movements.

Responsibilities

• Move rental vehicles between airport parking, drop-off areas and wash facility.

• Complete vehicle checks including fuel, RUC, mileage, damage and tyre pressures.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, stocked and ready for customers; restock linen and supplies.
• Use a tablet and digital systems to manage reports and bookings.
• Follow a weekly schedule of bookings and vehicle movements.
• Carry out basic handyman, maintenance and minor installation work.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Act as a 2IC-style support person for the Auckland operation.

Vehicle Operations & Service Coordinator

Trade Assist is looking for a reliable, motivated and hands-on all-rounder to join the Auckland operation of a vehicle rental company.

This is a varied customer service, vehicle operations and branch support role, with plenty of independence. You’ll be responsible for helping keep vehicles moving, customers looked after and the Auckland operation running smoothly.

The Role

• Move rental vehicles between the airport parking facility, drop-off areas and wash facility in Māngere
• Pick up and drop off customers from Auckland Airport, hotels and other locations
• Complete vehicle checks including fuel, RUC, mileage, damage and tyre pressures
• Ensure vehicles are clean, stocked and ready for customers
• Restock linen and other vehicle supplies
• Use a tablet and digital systems to manage reports and bookings
• Follow a weekly schedule of upcoming bookings and vehicle movements
• Carry out basic handyman, maintenance and minor installation work
• Provide friendly, professional customer service
• Act as a 2IC-style support person for the Auckland operation

What You’ll Need

• Clean, full Class 1 licence
• Confident driving passenger vehicles and a shuttle
• Good attention to detail
• Basic handyman/maintenance skills
• Previous rental or fleet experience is an advantage, but training will be provided

A flexible role that changes week to week -
This is not a standard 9–5 position. The hours are driven by customer bookings and demand, meaning some weeks will be busier than others.
The role has a minimum of 10 hours per week, with hours increasing during busier periods and up to around 30+ hours per week during peak times.
A weekly schedule will be provided outlining upcoming bookings, vehicle movements and expected workload, so you’ll have visibility of what’s coming up. Flexibility is important, as the hours and workload can vary from week to week.
