We are seeking an experienced and people-focused Operations Manager - Main Centres to lead our branch performance in Auckland, Christchurch and Queenstown. This role is central to delivering, ensuring consistent service delivery while driving strong operational, financial, and customer outcomes across our branch network.
Reporting into the national leadership team, you will lead and support Rental Managers within the main centres (Auckland, Christchurch and Queenstown) ensuring consistent execution of products, services, systems, and customer standards.
Based at our Auckland Airport branch, this role includes regular travel to in order to support lifting performance, embedding a strong service culture, and driving continuous improvement across our operations.
Lead and develop our Rental Managers to deliver consistent operational and customer outcomes through strong service culture, clear expectations, and effective performance management.
Ensure consistent, high-quality customer service across all branches by governing product delivery, supporting escalations, and driving service recovery.
Drive operational excellence by embedding consistent systems and processes, leading continuous improvement, and championing new tools and ways of working.
Deliver revenue, utilisation, and customer targets through disciplined budget management, KPI leadership, and identification of efficiency and growth opportunities.
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and development to ensure branch capability meets business‑as‑usual and seasonal demand
Ensure regional fleet availability, utilisation, compliance, and presentation meet operational and customer standards.
Maintain strong safety, compliance, and sustainability performance through audits, incident management, safe work practices, EV rollout support, and data-driven reporting and insights.
Strong multi-site operational leadership experience, ideally within rentals, transport, or service-based industry.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
A calm, organised, and solutions‑focused approach under pressure.
Strong people leadership capability with a positive and supportive style.
Commercial awareness, balancing service quality, cost, and compliance.
A proven track record of delivering against objectives and KPIs.
A clean, NZ Full Class 1 Drivers licence.
