Job summary

OceanaGold's Waihi operation invites skilled maintenance technicians to join our underground mining team. This residential role lets you live in Waihi and work an even-time, 7 on/7 off roster, with the opportunity to advance in an expanding underground operation.

You will perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on heavy mining equipment, uphold safety and quality standards, and contribute to improving reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• L3 Mechanical Trade Qualification is required.
• Experience working on Heavy Mobile Plant is essential.
• A full and current Driver Licence with the ability to drive manual vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of preventative and breakdown maintenance tasks on mining equipment including Loaders, Development/Production Drills, Haul Trucks and Ancillary Plant and Equipment.
• Ensure all equipment is mechanically and electronically maintained in accordance with company and site policies and procedures.
• Complete scheduled tasks and service inspections to a high standard of quality.
• Maintain legible and accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Source technical information from OEM manuals, technical bulletins, and service documentation.
• Actively promote and participate in safety, productivity, and cost-improvement drives.
