Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation in Waihi, New Zealand, seeks a qualified maintenance technician for underground mining equipment. You will perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on loaders, drills, haul trucks and related plant, ensuring safety and compliance with site procedures.

The role is residential in Waihi, offering a 7 on 7 off fixed roster and a competitive hourly rate with overtime and bonuses. All work will support the Waihi underground operation with opportunities to develop skills and

Qualifications

• L 3 Mechanical Trade Qualification is required.
• Experience working on Heavy Mobile Plant is essential.
• Proven ability to perform preventive maintenance and record results.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of preventative and breakdown maintenance tasks on mining equipment including Loaders, Development/Production Drills, Haul Trucks and Ancillary Plant and Equipment.
• Ensure all equipment is mechanically and electronically maintained according to site policies and procedures.
• Complete scheduled tasks and service inspections to a high standard of quality, maintaining equipment integrity and safety.
• Maintain legible and accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Source technical information from OEM manuals, bulletins and service documentation and apply improvements in safety, productivity and cost efficiency.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Perform arange of preventative and breakdown maintenance tasks on mining equipment including Loaders, Development/Production Drills, Haul Trucks and Ancillary Plant andEquipment.

• Complete scheduled tasks and service inspections as planned to ahigh standard of quality which maintains the integrity of the equipment and does not compromisesafety.
• Maintain legible and accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Source technical information from the relevant OEM manuals, technical bulletins, and service documentation.
• Actively promote, seek out and participatein drives that will lead to improvements in safety, productivity, and cost effectiveness.

Qualifications

• L 3 Mechanical Trade Qualification
• Experience working on Heavy MobilePlant.
• A full and current Driver Licence with the ability to drive manualvehicles.
