Job summary

Deloitte NZ is seeking a Trustworthy AI Consultant or Senior Consultant in Auckland to help organisations adopt AI responsibly and at scale. You’ll join a team focused on governance, risk, and oversight across AI lifecycles, delivering practical controls and meaningful client guidance.

You’ll work with clients across industries to translate AI risks into actionable strategies, policies and testing approaches, while helping to grow Deloitte’s Trustworthy AI capabilities and offerings.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in AI governance, risk, technology risk, model risk management, data, analytics, AI, regulatory advisory or consulting-related roles.
• For Senior Consultant candidates, typically 3+ years of relevant experience delivering client-facing risk, governance, technology or AI engagements.
• Knowledge of AI governance practices, accountability models and regulatory expectations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to assess complex AI, technology and business challenges.

Responsibilities

• Operationalise trustworthy AI principles across the AI lifecycle and design accountability structures, policies and control frameworks.
• Support clients to design and implement governance, risk and oversight practices for AI adoption.
• Evaluate AI systems for performance, bias, explainability and safety, with risk-focused testing and validation.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to communicate opportunities, risks and governance considerations.
• Contribute to growth of the Trustworthy AI practice through development of methodologies and market-facing content.
