Job summary

PwC New Zealand is seeking an AI Risk Business Partner to help our people navigate evolving AI risks. You will partner with Lines of Service, engagement teams and internal functions to translate AI policies into practical risk guidance and embed responsible AI across the firm.

You will connect people with expertise, advise on governance, and coordinate risk matters across specialists while developing training and tooling to support confident, compliant AI use.

Qualifications

• Strong stakeholder management and business partnering with diverse teams.
• Ability to translate complex AI policies and risk requirements into practical guidance.
• Sound judgement to navigate ambiguous or novel issues.
• Experience in risk, governance, controls, technology or regulated environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to lead workshops and discussions.
• Curiosity about AI and emerging tech; drive responsible innovation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders and teams to understand AI usage and provide practical risk advice.
• Translate AI policies and governance requirements into clear guidance for teams.
• Advise on responsible AI use including human oversight, confidentiality and escalation.
• Coordinate risk matters across Technology Risk, Legal, Privacy, Independence, Cyber, Data and Risk & Quality.
• Develop practical guidance, FAQs, decision tools and training for AI requirements.
• Facilitate briefings, workshops and targeted education to build AI capability across PwC NZ.
• Identify recurring challenges, emerging risks and opportunities to improve AI controls.
