Job summary

Deloitte in Aotearoa is seeking an AI Consultant to deliver end-to-end generative and agentic AI solutions across internal practices and client engagements. You will work within Strategy Risk & Transactions, contributing from concept design through build, testing, deployment and scaling.

You will help move AI use cases from prototype to production, applying security, privacy and responsible AI controls, while developing reusable templates and guidance for faster future delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in a consulting, learning & development, digital, data, engineering or technology delivery role, ideally within a professional services environment.
• Good understanding of generative and agentic AI concepts, platforms and enterprise use cases.
• Hands-on experience (or strong interest) developing or configuring one of: prompt workflows, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, model evaluation frameworks or AI-enabled applications.
• Structured approach to solution design, delivery and problem solving.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience contributing to written artefacts such as solution designs, proposals, technical documentation or business cases.
• Collaborative mindset and curiosity for continuous learning as AI evolves.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to end-to-end delivery of generative and agentic AI projects across problem definition to deployment.
• Design, develop, and evaluate AI solutions using leading platforms and foundation models.
• Apply expertise in prompt flows, agentic design, RAG and related architectures for scalable enterprise solutions.
• Develop testing approaches to assess model performance, accuracy and business value.
• Advise teams on unlocking insights and efficiency through applied generative AI.
• Collaborate with Deloitte teams to translate business requirements into AI solutions.
• Contribute to reusable assets and accelerators to embed AI in consulting delivery.
