Job summary

J&H Movers Limited in Auckland seeks a dedicated truck driver for a full-time permanent role. The position offers a 30–40 hour work week with pay of NZD 30–35 per hour.

You must have NZ driving license and forklift endorsement or the ability to obtain them, plus at least one year of relevant driving experience or a secondary school qualification.

Responsibilities

• Positioning vehicles for loading and unloading.
• Using lifting and tipping devices for loading and unloading.
• Ensure safety requirements are met during loading/unloading.
• Regularly checking trucks to ensure safe operation.
• Estimate weights to comply with load limits and ensure weight distribution.
• Securely cover goods to prevent loss or damage.
• Verify loading documents and certify deliveries.

We are looking for a truck driver in a full-time permanent role at J&H Movers Limited. The role is for a min 30 hours to max 40 hours per week at $30-$35 per hour.

You should have at least one year of relevant driving experience OR a secondary school qualification.

You should also have a NZ full driving license or the ability to gain a fulllicense for the role.

You should have forklift endorsement or the ability to gain the endorsement.

The job responsibilities are –

• Positioning vehicles for loading and unloading;
• Comfortable using lifting and tipping devices for loading and unloading;
• Ensure safety requirements are met while loading and unloading vehicles;
• making regular quality checks of the truck to ensure they are safe to drive;
• estimating weights to comply with load limitations and ensuring safe distribution of weight;ensuring goods are stowed and securely covered to prevent loss and damage;
• verifying loading documents, checking condition of goods and obtaining certification ofdeliveries.
