Job summary

Global Talent Limited – Auckland, North Island is seeking a Class 5 truck driver for a permanent night shift role in Auckland. The position is full-time with 30–45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 6 pm and 6 am, with potential weekend work depending on contracts.

Key duties include safely operating Class 5 vehicles, basic troubleshooting, and ensuring logbook compliance while maintaining Health & Safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Heavy Vehicle / Truck Class 5 NZ license.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience driving heavy vehicles.
• Able to work nights, weekends & public holidays as required.
• Physically fit with good paperwork skills and safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate truck and trailer units.
• Follow road safety procedures and company policy.
• Assist with loading/unloading when needed.
• Maintain accurate logbooks and safety records.
• Complete basic vehicle checks and reporting.

Looking for a Class 5 truck driver in Auckland for a permanent role working overnight routes.

We are looking for a class 5 truck driver in Auckland.

This is a full-time, permanent, night shift role with 30 - 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 6 pm and 6 am. There may be some weekend work involved depending on contracts

This role primarily involves operating Class 5 vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate and manoeuvre truck and trailer units

Operate vehicles in accordance with road safety and company requirements

Carry out basic troubleshooting (e.g. punctures, minor issues)

Maintain compliance with logbook and Health & Safety requirements

Assist with loading and unloading where required

• Heavy Vehicle / Truck license - Class 5 New Zealand driver’s license (mandatory)
• Available to work on weekends and public holidays as required
• At least 2 years of work experience as a heavy vehicle driver and be able to drive truck and trailer units.
• Reliable means of getting to and from work.
• Good attention to detail with regards to paperwork and product.
• Able to work independently
• Good awareness and knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
• Be honest, reliable, have good communication skills, be willing to accept responsibility and work hard.
• Knowledge of operating a manual gearbox
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling
• Must pass Ministry of Justice Criminal Record check, medical, and drug/alcohol testing
