Job summary

Travel Trade Recruitment is seeking a French-speaking Travel Consultant to join our NZ team. Design and book tailored FIT itineraries throughout New Zealand and communicate with French-speaking travellers by video, phone and email.

You will arrange accommodation, transport, activities and other travel components, manage bookings end-to-end and build strong relationships with customers and partners. Hybrid work: 2 days in the office, 3 days WFH.

Qualifications

• Full fluency in French, written and spoken.
• Experience designing and booking travel itineraries.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design and book tailored FIT itineraries throughout New Zealand.
• Speak directly with French-speaking travellers via video calls, phone and email.
• Arrange and coordinate accommodation, car hire, campervans, activities, transfers and ferries.
• Take bookings from initial enquiry through to final confirmation.
• Create itineraries based on traveller interests, budget and travel style.
• Liaise with suppliers to confirm arrangements and ensure smooth operations.
• Provide support to travellers before and during their trip.
• Build strong relationships with customers and travel partners.

An established travel company specialising in New Zealand holidays is seeking a French-Speaking Travel Consultant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a travel professional who is passionate about New Zealand, enjoys creating personalised itineraries and is confident working directly with French-speaking travellers!

Key Responsibilities

• Design and book tailored FIT itineraries throughout New Zealand


• Speak directly with French-speaking travellers via video calls, phone and email


• Arrange and coordinate accommodation, car hire, campervans, activities, transfers and ferries


• Take bookings from the initial enquiry right through to final confirmation


• Create itineraries around each traveller’s interests, budget and travel style


• Liaise with suppliers to confirm arrangements and keep everything running smoothly


• Provide support to travellers before and during their trip


• Build strong relationships with customers and travel partners

About You

We’re looking for someone who knows their way around travel, loves creating great itineraries and isn’t afraid to jump on a video call and have a conversation in French!

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in travel consulting


• Full fluency in French, both written and verbal – this is essential


• Strong knowledge of New Zealand as a travel destination


• Experience booking accommodation, transport, activities and other travel components


• Excellent communication and customer service skills


• Strong organisation and attention to detail


• The ability to juggle multiple bookings and priorities at once


• Confidence speaking with customers in French via video calls


• A genuine passion for travel and creating personalised experiences
