Job summary

MADHU & RYANSH NZ LIMITED, a courier and logistics provider contracted to NZ Post, seeks a dedicated Transport Manager in Dunedin. This full-time role offers guaranteed hours and pays $33-$36 per hour depending on skills and experience.

You will oversee and coordinate transport operations, supervise staff, coordinate with clients, ensure safety, compliance, and performance improvements across the fleet. Responsibilities include planning routes and managing drivers to deliver high-quality service.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in a similar transport or courier role.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of NZ transport regulations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and control daily transport operations for timely courier delivery.
• Manage a fleet of courier vehicles, including scheduling and routing.
• Supervise drivers: recruitment, rostering, performance management.
• Ensure compliance with NZ Post agreements and service standards.
• Monitor route efficiency, fuel usage, and delivery performance.
• Maintain vehicle maintenance and safety compliance.
• Prepare operational reports on delivery performance and incidents.
• Ensure health and safety compliance for drivers.
