Job summary

MADHU & RYANSH NZ LIMITED, based in Dunedin, seeks an experienced Transport Manager to oversee and coordinate transport operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and high-quality service for NZ Post contracts.

You will lead drivers, manage fleet scheduling, monitor performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and liaise with clients to meet delivery requirements, with guaranteed hours and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of work experience in a similar role or industry.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily transport operations to ensure timely delivery.
• Manage fleet scheduling, route allocation, and performance monitoring.
• Supervise drivers including recruitment, rostering, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with NZ Post agreements and delivery timeframes.
• Monitor and improve operational efficiency including route optimisation and fuel usage.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance and safety standards.
• Liaise with clients and NZ Post representatives to meet service expectations.
• Manage operational costs and budgets, including fuel and labour.
