Job summary

Port of Auckland is seeking a Transport Coordinator based in our Road Office to manage the Vehicle Booking System (VBS) and ensure smooth truck flows through Fergusson Wharf and the POAL Empty Yard.

You will release additional VBS bookings as needed, support drivers and carriers, and maintain MPI and Customs documentation compliance while building strong internal and external relationships.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Reliable, self-driven and collaborative team member.
• Experience in logistics or planning is preferred.

As a Transport Coordinator, you will be based in our Road Office, managing the vehicle booking system (CargoWise) and ensuring the smooth flow of trucks entering Fergusson Wharf and the POAL Empty Yard. Your core responsibility is to release additional VBS bookings when required and ensure all trucks are processed efficiently and on time.

• Previous experience in logistics or planning (preferred)

This is a full-time onsite role with an eight-week rotating roster. Indicative roster pattern:

• Two weeks of day shifts (7:00 am – 3:00 pm)
• Two weeks of afternoon shifts (3:00 pm – 11:00 pm)
• Two weeks of night shifts (11:00 pm – 7:00 am)
• Two weekends with 12-hour shifts (one day shift and one night shift)
