Job summary

Ports of Auckland in Auckland, North Island, is seeking a Transport Coordinator to manage the Vehicle Booking System (CargoWise) and coordinate truck movements entering Fergusson Wharf and the POAL Empty Yard. You will release additional VBS bookings as needed and ensure trucks are processed efficiently and on time.

Based onsite with an eight-week rotating roster (day, afternoon and night shifts plus two long weekend shifts), the role requires strong communication, attention to detail and

Qualifications

• Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem solving.
• Reliable, self-driven and able to work collaboratively.
• Previous experience in logistics or planning is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the Vehicle Booking System (VBS).
• Coordinate truck movements through port gates.
• Process carrier paperwork and emails promptly.
• Assist drivers and carriers with queries and induction requirements.
• Maintain compliance with MPI and Customs documentation standards.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
