Job summary

Allevia Hospitals, a major private healthcare provider in New Zealand, seeks an Applications Specialist to join the ICU team at Allevia Hospital Epsom. You will provide support, maintenance and enhancements to PAS/EMR (TrakCare) systems, collaborating with IT and clinical SMEs.

The role is permanent and full-time, requiring 3–5 years of enterprise application experience, with TrakCare a distinct advantage. You will apply healthcare IT expertise to improve patient care.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in IT Health Informatics or equivalent.
• 3–5 years experience with large enterprise applications; TrakCare is a distinct advantage.
• Significant ERP experience in healthcare.
• Solid understanding of clinical functions & informatics.
• Strong reporting and data analysis, e.g. JReports.
• Effective interpersonal skills with colleagues, senior management and customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and functional advice to end users.
• Perform system administration tasks: adding users, modifying access, workflows, etc.
• Provide database administration and maintenance support.
• Monitor data integrity and system performance with end users and vendors on configurations and enhancements.
