DuluxGroup Ltd. in Christchurch is seeking a customer-focused retail team member for our Hornby store. You will engage with trade professionals and DIY customers, offering product advice, colour guidance and practical solutions to help customers complete projects.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with trade and DIY customers and provide outstanding service
• Provide product recommendations, colour advice and practical solutions
• Support store sales growth through customer engagement and upselling
• Mix and tint paint accurately while maintaining quality
• Process sales transactions, invoices and orders accurately
• Assist with stock management, merchandising and store presentation
• Contribute to a culture of safety and follow company procedures

What You'll Be Doing

• Building strong relationships with trade and DIY customers and providing outstanding service every day
• Providing product recommendations, colour advice, and practical solutions to help customers complete their projects
• Supporting store sales growth through customer engagement, upselling opportunities, and promoting our products and services
• Mixing and tinting paint accurately while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Processing sales transactions, invoices, and customer orders with a high level of accuracy
• Assisting with stock management, merchandising, and maintaining an organised and welcoming store environment
• Supporting a culture of safety and ensuring all tasks are completed in line with company procedures

This is a full time role based at our Hornby, Christchurch store.

• Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage with a wide range of customers
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and desire to develop new skills
• Someone who takes pride in their work and has excellent attention to detail
• A team player who can work independently and contribute to a busy store environment
• Previous experience in retail, customer service, trade, hospitality, or sales is advantageous but not essential
• Physically fit and capable of safely lifting paint products up to 25kg
