Job summary

Dulux Trade Centres in Christchurch Hornby is seeking a full-time customer-focused retail team member to assist trade professionals and DIY customers daily.

You will provide product recommendations, colour advice, mix and tint paint, process sales, and help with stock and merchandising while upholding workplace safety standards. This role offers strong team support and clear career paths within DuluxGroup.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused and able to build relationships with customers.
• Strong communication skills and confidence in engaging with a range of customers.
• Willingness to learn, develop new skills, and contribute to a busy store environment.
• Excellent attention to detail in all tasks.
• Physically capable of safely lifting paint products up to 25kg.
• Retail or customer service experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with trade and DIY customers and provide outstanding service.
• Provide product recommendations, colour advice, and practical solutions for customers' projects.
• Support store sales growth through customer engagement, upselling, and promoting products and services.
• Mix and tint paint accurately while maintaining high quality standards.
• Process sales transactions, invoices and customer orders with accuracy.
• Assist with stock management, merchandising, and maintaining an organised store environment.
• Support a culture of safety and ensure tasks follow company procedures.

What You'll Be Doing

• Building strong relationships with trade and DIY customers and providing outstanding service every day
• Providing product recommendations, colour advice, and practical solutions to help customers complete their projects
• Supporting store sales growth through customer engagement, upselling opportunities, and promoting our products and services
• Mixing and tinting paint accurately while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Processing sales transactions, invoices, and customer orders with a high level of accuracy
• Assisting with stock management, merchandising, and maintaining an organised and welcoming store environment
• Supporting a culture of safety and ensuring all tasks are completed in line with company procedures

This is a full time role based at our Hornby, Christchurch store.
