Job description

Jora New Zealand will close on 16th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey.

You run at high tempo, thrive under pressure, and push through the toughest days and weeks rather than backing off.

You chase the leads, you don't wait for work to land.

You lean in when the market's tough, the weather's worse, and the competition's circling.

You put the team win ahead of the personal win, stepping in to help colleagues when the going gets tough.

You always find a way to give customers exceptional service.

Some days you're in Auckland doing the rounds, with visits back-to-back across the city. Other days you're out in the regions and you've packed your visits tight from morning to afternoon. Either way, you're on the road more than you're at a desk.

The day starts early, clearing emails before you're out the door, then packing the car with samples for whichever joiners, kitchen companies or trade accounts are on the list. From there it's driving across the city, sometimes more than once, taking calls in between visits. Leads come in through email and inbound calls too, so you're juggling that alongside your own pipeline, trying to lock in appointments while staying on top of what's already moving.

By the time you're back in the office, it's into the admin. Following up on meetings, clearing tasks, updating our CRM system, and making sure nothing slips through the cracks before you're ready to do it all again tomorrow.

Travel isn't constant, but there may be some overnights each month amongst the day trips.

Plans shift. Someone cancels at short notice, you end up crossing the city twice for appointments, and the phone doesn't stop while you're loading the car for a trip away. You knock off later than planned - that's part of the job, and you push through it rather than letting it throw your week.

Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to grow the VidaSpace brand and expand our market share by becoming the trusted supply partner for the trade market, turning face-to-face relationships into repeat orders and confirmed projects.

Your primary responsibility is looking after our trade clients (joiners, flooring installers, and construction companies) across the Auckland, Northland, Waikato, and Bay of Plenty regions. You will work closely with our project consultants and wider sales team to proactively service these clients in person and remotely, fostering strong trade relationships. You will also be responsible for driving new lead generation and securing sales, expanding our trade clientele through key account activities and management.

Core Responsibilities:
Account Management
  • Manage and grow your portfolio of trade accounts, generating and qualifying new leads
  • Engage with leads via phone and face-to‑face meetings, including site visits, follow‑ups, emails, and samples
  • Deliver presentations on‑site or in the showroom to showcase product solutions
  • Respond to warm leads from telemarketing with timely, professional follow‑up
  • Build visibility and rapport within the trade community through networking, events, and proactive outreach
  • Provide product and technical support, working with the team to get accurate quotes out efficiently
Day‑to‑day:
  • Provide world‑class hospitality, always going the extra mile with customer support and care
  • Maintain thorough product knowledge, including technical detail relevant to trade clients such as installation, fixing, and compliance requirements
  • Answer incoming calls when required
  • Maintain customer records and log all interactions in the CRM database
  • Proactively contact clients and prospects to book presentations and meetings
  • Follow up and manage your pipeline, including calls, emails, and follow‑up meetings
  • Maintain clear, consistent communication with project consultants and support them wherever needed to help close deals
Lead Generation & Progression:
  • Always be scouting for new leads and projects, online, new developments, social media, and industry contacts
  • Prospect and research joiners, construction companies, and flooring installers not yet in our CRM (Pipedrive), setting them up and organising a meeting or showroom visit
Role Persona:
  • Organised and proactive: Plans and books their calendar in advance, follows through on client communication, and stays on top of tasks
  • Professional and polished: Well‑presented, confident, articulate, and a strong brand ambassador
  • Adaptable all‑rounder: Intelligent, fast learner, flexible, humble, and works well under pressure
  • Sales‑savvy: Able to spot and act on opportunities while staying client‑focused
  • Market‑wise: Existing experience as a key account manager or within the building, joinery, or flooring installation trade
What’s in it for you:
  • Company provided vehicle (inc. for personal use), computer & phone
  • Part of a tight‑knit, collaborative team
  • Regular company team events & team building activities
  • Company Profit Share Program
  • Birthday paid day off
  • Long‑term career opportunity within a stable, family‑owned business
