Job summary

Stellar Recruitment is seeking a reliable operator for motorway maintenance in Auckland. You will drive tractor and ride-on mowers, mow grass along the motorway network, and perform general road maintenance as part of a dedicated crew.

Applicants should have a full Class 2 licence, mower experience, and comfort with outdoor work. Night shifts from 7:30pm to 4:30am include a $40 night shift allowance and weekly pay. Sponsorship is not available; located at Mt Wellington.

Qualifications

• Full Class 2 licence is required.
• Experience with tractor or ride-on mowers preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to operate machinery safely.
• Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors.
• Reliable, positive attitude; traffic control or roads maintenance experience is a plus.

Job description

• $27–$30 per hour depending on experience, plus 8% holiday pay
• $40 night shift allowance, an extra $200 per working week
• Weekly pay and consistent hours
• Mt Wellington based

About the Role

If you enjoy working outdoors and operating machinery, this could be a great fit. As part of a motorway maintenance crew, your duties will include:

• Operating tractor mowers and ride-on mowers
• Mowing grass along Auckland’s motorway network
• General road and vegetation maintenance
• Assisting the wider maintenance crew when required

You’ll travel to different locations across Auckland, starting and finishing each shift at the Mt Wellington yard.

Monday to Friday night shift: 7:30pm–4:30am

Hours are to be confirmed, but this is the standard night shift.

Skills & Experience

• Full Class 2 licence required
• Previous tractor mower or ride-on mower experience
• Confidence operating machinery safely
• Good physical fitness and comfortable working outdoors
• Strong reliability and a good attitude
• Traffic control or general road maintenance experience is advantageous
