Job summary

Mitre 10 (New Zealand) Limited in Auckland is seeking two part-time Timber Yard team members who enjoy delivering first-class customer service and don’t mind hard work. You will assist Trade and DIY customers with helpful advice, ensuring they have everything needed to complete projects.

Successful candidates will work two days per week with a weekend day, and should hold a full NZ driver licence; forklift certification is a plus. A positive team fit and learning mindset are valued.

• Work two days per week including one weekend day (Friday-Saturday) or (Sunday-Monday).
• Full, clean NZ driver licence is essential; forklift certification is an advantage.

This is a challenging but rewarding role, working together with the Trade and Dispatch teams. Your primary focus will be assisting our Trade and DIY customers with helpful and accurate advice, making sure they have everything they need to complete their projects.

This is a challenging but rewarding role, working together with the Trade and Dispatch teams. Your primary focus will be assisting our Trade and DIY customers with helpful and accurate advice, making sure they have everything they need to complete their projects.

Required

We have two permanent, part-time vacancies, the successful candidates will be required to work one of the following two day shifts with flexible availability:

• 2 days (16 hours) per week including one day of the weekend (Friday-Saturday).
• 2 days (16 hours) per week including one day of the weekend (Sunday-Monday).

You will have a positive impact on sales, building long term trust based relationships and going the extra mile will be the norm for you.

About You

You will be able to bring a drive and energy for getting the job done right. Previous customer service experience and/or building and timber knowledge would be an advantage, but it is your strong personal values, in alignment with ours, that will make you successful at Mitre 10.

For this position a full, clean NZ driver licence is essential and current F endorsed forklift certification is an advantage. However, if you have a full licence and a willingness to learn we will happily put you through forklift licence training.

A mature outlook on life, workplace computer literacy and a strong customer service attitude will make you an ideal candidate.
