Job summary

Paragon - The Agency For People is seeking a capable Leading Hand to build a long-term career in civil infrastructure and progress toward becoming a Site Supervisor. You will join an experienced team delivering water and wastewater projects across Auckland, with occasional work further afield.

The role exposes you to complex infrastructure works beyond routine subdivision duties. You will be involved in pipeline repairs, live asset works, and projects requiring strong technical capability,

Qualifications

• Experience in Three Waters construction.
• Strong understanding of pipeline installation and repair.
• Ability to work around live assets safely.
• Experience leading crews or mentoring junior staff.
• A willingness to learn and develop.
• Strong communication skills.
• Physical fitness and a hands-on attitude.
• Commitment to health and safety.
• Clean, drug-free lifestyle.

Responsibilities

• Leading small crews on site.
• Assisting the Site Supervisor in day-to-day operations.
• Reading plans and directing work activities.
• Working on water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure.
• Operating plant where required.
• Managing site safety and quality standards.
• Stepping into a supervisory capacity when required.
• Participating in an on-call roster.
