Job summary

Department of Corrections NZ in Auckland region is seeking Programme Facilitators to support people in our care inside prisons and in the community. You will deliver a range of clinically designed therapeutic programmes, individually or with a co-facilitator, to help address underlying causes of offending and promote crime-free futures.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Cultural understanding with tikanga Māori framework.
• Resilience and flexibility; no two days are alike.

• Understanding of de-escalation and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutically designed programmes, individually or with a co-facilitator.
• Support people in care to understand causes of offending and create crime-free futures.
• Reflect on practice; be open to feedback and maintain professional growth.
• Report writing experience and accurate documentation.
