Job summary

Morson Edge Australia seeks an experienced Construction Manager to lead onsite delivery for a major utility‑scale solar project in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. You will guide construction teams and subcontractors to meet safety, quality and schedule targets on a hands‑on basis.

This temp‑to‑perm role offers leadership across multidisciplinary teams, strong stakeholder engagement, and exposure to environmental compliance programs in a growing renewable energy sector.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ progressive experience in construction management or related leadership roles.
• Experience on utility‑scale solar farm construction projects (>100 MW) preferred.
• Knowledge of solar farm construction methods, materials, and specs.
• Ability to interpret scopes, contracts and drawings to identify risks and mitigation plans.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite leadership to construction teams and subcontractors to deliver quality safely and on schedule.
• Implement and maintain safety programs and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, design and site engineers to address challenges.
• Support environmental compliance, including CEMP and related requirements.
• Lead scheduling and lookahead planning for multiple project scopes.
• Develop and maintain productive stakeholder and client relationships.
