Job summary

Elecnor, in Te Aroha, Waikato, is seeking an O&M Electrician – Solar to support the Tahuei Solar Farm. The role involves routine inspections, preventive maintenance, fault finding, and on-call support.

The ideal candidate will have NZ practising electrical license, valid working rights, and a background in solar asset maintenance. The position starts mid to late October, with Monday–Friday hours, in the Waikato region.

Qualifications

• Must have valid New Zealand working rights.
• Must hold a valid New Zealand Practising Electrical License.
• Low Voltage Rescue & CPR certificate required.
• Driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance and fault finding on electrical systems across the solar farm.
• Respond to emergency calls and breakdowns as required.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems, including V Modules, inverters, weather stations, transformers, and control panels.

Airswift has partnered exclusively with Elecnor, a renewable energy leader, internationally and within Australia, to support their blue-collar recruitment across their Australia & New Zealand operations. We are currently looking for an O&M Electrician – Solar to join their newly built Tahuei Solar Farm in Te Aroha, Waikato Region.

The role ideally starting mid to late October Mon- Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm.

• Performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance and fault finding on electrical systems across the solar farm
• Respond to emergency calls and breakdowns as required
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot various electrical systems, including V Modules, inverters, weather stations, transformers, and control panels.
• Rotating on call roster

About you

• Valid New Zealand Working Rights
• Valid New Zealand Practising Electrical License
• Low Voltage Rescue & CPR certificate
• Driver’s License
• Ideally 5 years’ experience as an electrician, with exposure working in the operation and maintenance of assets
• Experience in solar is highly advantageous
• Ability to pass full pre-employment medical
