Placements24 is seeking a vigilant Telecoms Network Operations Specialist to join the Queenstown network operations center. You will monitor, diagnose, and maintain the telecoms network to ensure uptime and optimal performance for customers across New Zealand.

The role requires 3+ years in telecom network operations, proficiency with TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and experience with Nagios, Zabbix or SolarWinds. Hybrid work and ongoing professional training are offered.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in network operations or technical support within the telecoms industry.
• Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and network hardware.
• Experience with network monitoring systems (Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call schedule.
