Westpac New Zealand is seeking a Technology People Lead to build and sustain a high performing workforce within the service group. The role focuses on capability, performance, development, and career progression while embedding people frameworks, policies, and performance management practices.

As a strategic leader, you will coach and mentor teams, oversee end-to-end workforce activities, and collaborate with internal tech teams and partners to meet resourcing needs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading technical professionals and large teams.
• Experience managing end-to-end employee lifecycle and recruitment.
• Coaching, mentoring and facilitation skills from hands-on practice.
• Ability to drive career development, role clarity and high performance.
• Strong collaboration across multiple business areas for workforce planning.
• Proven ability to foster inclusive, safe workplace culture aligned to values.

Responsabilités

• Lead talent strategy and workforce planning for the service group.
• Provide people leadership, coaching and development for teams.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, offboarding and succession planning.
• Collaborate with technology teams and partners to meet resourcing needs.
• Manage resource allocation and ensure effective utilisation of people.
• Establish and maintain technology people frameworks, tools, and processes.
• Support Product Engineering strategic objectives through strong people leadership.
• Drive cultural transformation and change initiatives as needed.
• Perform additional duties as required by Westpac.
