Westpac New Zealand is seeking a Technology People Lead to build and sustain a high performing workforce in the service group. You will coach, mentor and lead capability development while embedding people frameworks and performance practices to enable strong culture and sustainable outcomes.

You will partner with technology teams and stakeholders to meet resourcing needs, oversee recruitment, onboarding and succession planning, and drive strategic workforce initiatives across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years' experience leading technical professionals.
• Proven experience in leading large teams.
• Experience in end-to-end employee lifecycle management.
• Coaching, mentoring and facilitation skills.
• Ability to develop talent, provide role clarity and maximise performance.
• SME knowledge of the practice area is strongly preferred.
• Proven track record creating a positive culture and safe workplace.
• Strong collaboration across business areas for workforce planning.

Responsabilités

• Lead talent, people strategy, and workforce planning across the service group in partnership with key stakeholders.
• Build and maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe workplace culture aligned to Westpac values.
• Provide people leadership, coaching, and mentoring to develop high performing teams.
• Oversee end to end workforce activities including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and succession planning.
• Collaborate closely with internal technology teams, business units, and strategic partners to meet resourcing needs.
• Manage resource allocation and ensure effective utilisation of people across the service group.
• Establish and maintain effective technology people frameworks, tools, and processes.
• Support and contribute to Product Engineering strategic objectives through strong people leadership.
• Lead cultural transformation and change initiatives where required.
• Carry out any other duties reasonably requested by Westpac from time to time.
