Job summary

Homersham Ltd in New Zealand is seeking a technically minded sales support professional to serve as the primary contact for a group of customers, quoting, specifying, processing orders and maintaining relationships with suppliers.

You will collaborate with the sales team, customer services and operations, using CRM/ERP systems to keep records accurate and to pursue new business with a healthy pipeline. A NZ driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification — a Certificate, Diploma or degree in engineering, science or a related field
• 1–2 years' experience in a technical sales, internal sales or technical support role
• Confident computer and digital skills — CRM, ERP and the Microsoft suite
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication
• A current New Zealand driver's licence
• The legal right to work in New Zealand
• Knowledge of the instrumentation, calibration or process measurement industry (nice to have)
• Experience dealing with overseas suppliers or import costings (nice to have)
• A current First Aid certificate (nice to have)

Responsibilities

• Preparing quotations for allocated customers and turning requests around within a day
• Processing sales orders and keeping our ERP system accurate through quoting, ordering and invoicing
• Managing your assigned inboxes so customer and supplier queries are answered within one working day
• Maintaining the CRM for your customers, suppliers and business areas
• Identifying and pursuing new business, following our Sales Playbook to build and maintain a healthy pipeline
• Carrying out market research to spot new trends, applications and customers
• Monitoring stock positions and flagging reorder needs before they become a problem
• Preparing customer goods for delivery and providing general customer services support
• Assisting with the costing of overseas orders
