Job summary

EROAD Ltd is seeking a Tech Lead to sit inside a delivery squad and stay close to the code while shaping how the team works. You will lead developers through design, implementation, review and delivery, unblock engineers, decompose tasks between AI agents and human judgement, and review AI-generated code to prevent production issues.

The role requires hands-on backend expertise, production AI tooling experience, and strong cloud-native skills with Java/Spring or .NET, plus microservices, REST

ABOUT THE COMPANY

EROAD is a global fleet management technology company, providing GPS tracking, video telematics, compliance automation and driver safety tools to fleet operators, and this Tech Lead role is opening within a Manila delivery squad as the team builds AI-native ways of working into its engineering practice.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• As Tech Lead you'll sit inside a delivery squad and stay close to the code while shaping how the team works.
• Lead developers through design, implementation, review and delivery
• Unblock engineers and keep design decisions moving
• Decompose engineering tasks between AI agents and human judgement
• Review AI-generated code and catch failure modes before they reach production
• Coach the squad on using AI tools well without lowering the quality bar
• Stay hands-on with implementation across EROAD's SaaS platform

WHAT YOU NEED

• To thrive in this role you'll bring hands-on technical leadership plus real depth in modern backend engineering.
• Real-world experience using AI coding tools or agents in production engineering work
• Production experience with Java and/or C#
• Cloud-native development experience on AWS with Java/Spring, or Azure with .NET
• Microservice architecture and RESTful API design experience
• Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL or SQL Server
• Automated testing design and implementation across unit, component and integration levels
• Experience with Git, trunk-based development and CI/CD
• Beyond the essentials, we'd love to see basic monitoring and observability experience, and any exposure to agentic workflows such as task decomposition, context management or multi-step agent use is a genuine plus.
• JavaScript or React front-end integration, event-driven AWS services like Kinesis, SQS or DynamoDB, GIS, payments or high-throughput transactional systems, and Kubernetes or Terraform would all round out the profile nicely, though none of these are essential.
