Job summary

Auckland University of Technology (AUT) is seeking a professional to verify and remediate asset data across teaching, research and facilities. You will validate asset information and prepare datasets for Planon migration, while working with technical services and campus stakeholders.

The role supports the FHES Asset Register Verification Project and contributes to accurate, auditable asset records across AUT campuses. A tertiary qualification or relevant experience is required.

  • Familiarity with asset management systems and Excel/databases.

Responsibilities

  • Verify existence, location, condition and key identifying information of Faculty-owned assets across AUT campuses.
  • Prepare a reliable dataset for migration into Planon enterprise system.
  • Improve completeness and accuracy of asset information; collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Support cross-campus verification activities and documentation.

This role supports the successful delivery of the FHES Asset Register Verification Project by undertaking physical asset verification, asset data validation and register remediation activities across AUT campuses. You will systematically verify the existence, location, condition and key identifying information of Faculty-owned assets across teaching, research, clinical simulation, laboratory, workshop, office and specialist environments. Working with Technical Services, School Managers, Lab Managers and University stakeholders, you will improve the completeness, accuracy and consistency of asset information and prepare a reliable dataset for migration into Planon. The role reports to the Senior Manager – Technical Services and works closely with Faculty Technical Services teams, School Managers, ICT Services, central University services, Estates, Security, People and Culture, School and Department Coordinators, Heads of Schools and Departments, the Planon Team, vendors, service providers and verification contractors.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of scientific or specialist equipment and familiarity with laboratory environments; experience in asset verification, inventory management, equipment stocktakes, asset registers, asset data quality, technical administration, laboratory support or facilities coordination; experience using Microsoft Office, Excel, databases, asset management systems and structured data capture; and experience maintaining accurate records, working independently, managing competing priorities and engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Experience working within universities, research organisations, healthcare, scientific laboratories or clinical simulation environments; experience using Planon, TechnologyOne, SAP or other Enterprise Asset Management systems; and knowledge of asset lifecycle management, scientific or specialist equipment and laboratory environments.
