Job description

Jora New Zealand will close on 16th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey.

Full-time | Monday–Friday | 8:30am–5:00pm | Onsite

Join a Growing New Zealand Technology Company

Sensium is a proudly New Zealand-founded technology company that has been developing GPS telematics and fleet management solutions since 2005. From our beginnings in West Auckland, we have expanded into Australia while continuing to design and develop our own hardware and software locally.

Our Connect+ platform brings vehicle tracking, driver safety and intelligent pool vehicle booking together in one integrated solution. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a technically minded, customer-focused person to join our Auckland team.

This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role within the fleet technology industry. You will work across customer service, technical problem‑solving and operational coordination, becoming an important link between our Key Account Managers, customers, Support team and installer network.

If you enjoy variety, taking ownership, solving practical problems and learning how technology works in the real world, we would love to hear from you.

What Makes This Role Different?

This is not a traditional desk‑based technology role. Your time will be spent talking with customers, investigating problems, working with hardware, coordinating solutions and learning how our technology operates in the real world.

If you enjoy working with people but also have an interest in technology, vehicles and practical problem‑solving, this could be a great fit.

What You Will Be Doing

As part of the Sensium team, you will play an important role in supporting our customers and ensuring our fleet technology solutions operate effectively.

  • Supporting our Key Account Managers with customer enquiries, technical questions and service requirements
  • Conducting outbound customer contact to maintain service levels and customer satisfaction
  • Working directly with customers and installers to understand and resolve technical issues
  • Managing customer requests and technical issues through to resolution, ensuring agreed service levels are maintained
  • Troubleshooting GPS tracking devices, hardware, firmware and associated software
  • Configuring, testing and preparing telematics devices for deployment
  • Maintaining accurate customer, device and technical records
  • Occasionally visiting customer sites to assist with installations or technical issues and training

Every day is different, and you will work closely with multiple areas of the business to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

About You
  • A confident and professional communicator who enjoys dealing directly with customers
  • Naturally curious and interested in technology, vehicles and how things work
  • Logical and methodical when investigating problems
  • Well organised and able to manage multiple customer requirements at once
  • Comfortable taking ownership of an issue and seeing it through to resolution
  • Practical and willing to get hands‑on with hardware and equipment
  • A quick learner who enjoys developing knowledge of new technology and systems
  • Able to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team
  • Professional, reliable and comfortable working in a role where every day can be different
Experience We Value

Previous experience in customer service, fleet management, automotive technology, electronics, telecommunications, connected devices or a similar technical environment would be highly regarded.

Experience in any of the following would be an advantage:

  • GPS tracking or telematics
  • Fleet management or vehicle leasing
  • Automotive electrical systems
  • Customer relationship or service management systems
  • Vehicle technology, IoT or connected devices

Don't worry if you do not tick every box—we are happy to train the right person with the right attitude.

Why Join Sensium?

When you join Sensium, you will become part of an experienced team where your contribution genuinely makes a difference.

  • A supportive and collaborative workplace
  • Full training on our hardware and Connect+ software platform
  • Work with locally designed GPS, telematics and IoT technology
  • Hands‑on exposure to connected vehicle technology and fleet management
  • Work directly with customers, installers and fleet professionals
  • Opportunities to develop your technical and customer‑facing skills
  • A varied role where no two days are the same
  • A stable Monday–Friday work week (8:30am–5:00pm)
