Job summary

Team Leader and Classroom Teacher (Years 3 - 6)

Wadestown School is a full primary school in the heart of Wadestown, five minutes from central Wellington. Our school is focused on developing leadership capabilities and maintaining positive student outcomes.

We are seeking an experienced, people-focused educator to join our school as a Team Leader and classroom teacher in 2027.

This position is for someone who enjoys working with Year 3-6 learners, is committed to high-quality teaching and learning, and is keen to make a positive difference to both students and colleagues. This role will see you teaching in one of the classes within these levels. Your expertise will determine the level you teach.

As a Team Leader, you will work alongside a team of four teachers, providing support, encouragement and direction while continuing to have a strong presence in the classroom and remain connected to teaching and learning.
