Job summary

Te Aro School in Wellington seeks a passionate teacher/kaiako to join the Year 1–8 team for a fixed-term role starting 01/02/2027 and ending 15/12/2027 (covering a staff member on leave). The ideal candidate will be experienced with Years 2–4, skilled in building relationships with ākonga, staff and whānau, and knowledgeable in Numicon and PRIME Maths resources.

We are a Year 1–8 full primary school in the heart of Wellington city. We have a strong school culture and a diverse student population.

We seek an enthusiastic and caring teacher/kaiako to join our teaching team at the start of 2027. We are looking to appoint a teacher who is motivated, has a passion for supporting tamariki to flourish and who wants to work in a supportive, collaborative environment.

• has experience of teaching children in Years 2 - 4
