Wadestown School in Wellington invites applications for a Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) Certificated teacher to join our staff from 2027. This position is available due to a staff member extending their overseas travels.

The successful applicant will work with our dynamic Year 7–8 Kōwhai Team, bringing passion for and experience in teaching intermediate-aged students within a collaborative, supportive environment. A current NZ primary teacher registration is required.

We have an exciting opportunity for a teacher to join our Wadestown School staff from 2027. This position has become available due to a staff member extending their overseas travels.

This position will see you working with our dynamic Year 7–8 Kōwhai Team. The successful applicant will have a passion for and experience teaching intermediate-aged students within a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Experience teaching Structured Literacy and Numeracy is required. The ability to collaborate with others is an essential component of this role.

We seek a highly effective classroom practitioner who puts the learners at the centre and maintains high expectations for learner outcomes and student wellbeing.

Applicants must have a current NZ primary teacher registration.

The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the relevant collective agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will depend on qualifications and experience.
