This is a hands-on role covering IT support, Microsoft 365, systems administration and automation, with opportunities to troubleshoot problems, improve systems and find smarter ways of doing things.
At 20 hours per week with genuine flexibility, this role could work well around study, other commitments or simply the life you want outside work.
VSA is Aotearoa New Zealand's largest and most experienced volunteering agency working within international development. We connect skilled volunteers with organisations and communities across the Pacific, sharing skills, knowledge and experience to support locally identified aspirations and create sustainable change.
Our purpose is Te hono tangata, Te huringa ora, Connecting people, Transforming lives. We are guided by manaakitanga, respectful partnerships, cross-cultural learning and our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Reporting to the Manager Information and Technology, you'll be part of a small team supporting VSA's technology environment and the people who use it.
You'll provide day-to-day technical support, while also getting involved in automation, systems improvement and IT projects.
We're looking for someone who is genuinely interested in technology and enjoys figuring things out independently.
As our IT Manager puts it: "I'm looking for someone who is genuinely interested in technology, can think for themselves and will have a go at solving a problem before asking for help."
If that sounds like you, you'll have plenty to get stuck into.
20 hours. Flexible hours. Meaningful work.
You'll have the flexibility to shape your working hours around your life, while working across a broad range of technology and contributing to work that supports VSA's teams across Aotearoa and the Pacific.
Your work will help keep our teams connected, our systems working and our people able to focus on what matters, supporting communities and creating positive change across the Pacific and beyond.
You'll also have the opportunity to take ownership, develop your technical skills and make a real difference to how we work.
