Job description

Jora New Zealand will close on 16th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey.

Business Improvement and Project support

Are you a natural problem solver who loves making things work better? Use your project, systems and technology skills to make a real difference…

Workwise is a unique employment support agency. We work with people who are facing personal or health challenges and support them to return to or stay in employment.

We are an internationally recognised provider of evidence-based employment support. Our approach is about looking at the whole person and recognising that having a paid, good quality job can bring health and wellbeing, financial security and other positive social impacts.

As part of our passionate team, you’ll enjoy leading employment conditions including flexible working arrangements and generous annual leave. You’ll be part of a positive work environment where life balance is encouraged, people are valued, and fresh possibilities are created!

In addition to one of the best working environments you’ll ever find, we offer:

  • Extra week of annual leave after 12 months of employment
  • Two ‘wellbeing days’, extra leave per year
  • Ongoing coaching
  • Subsidised lunch cooked by an in-house chef three days a week
  • Onsite gym
  • Discounted plans with Southern Cross for medical insurance
  • Special banking treatments for Westpac customers
  • EAP services
  • And the opportunity to be part of an organisation that lives its values and believes in its purpose

Are you someone who enjoys solving problems, improving the way things work and turning ideas into action? Do you have a knack for technology, systems and getting things done? If you love variety and enjoy being at the heart of projects and continuous improvement, then this role could be for you!

As our Business Improvement and Project Support person, you’ll be the ‘go-to’ person for daily systems, project support and the execution of support needs across Workwise.

You’ll work closely with Workwise teams to understand how they work and identify the inefficiencies getting in their way. You’ll help develop and lead the implementation of new processes and technology solutions that improve the experience and performance of our teams.

You’ll collaborate as part of a project team on larger-scale projects and take the lead on smaller continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll also build strong relationships with key stakeholders, coordinate project deliverables and support the successful adoption of new systems and processes.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Providing strong administration and coordination support across projects
  • Championing business improvement and the value of quality business processes
  • Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and efficiency
  • Supporting project planning and ensuring deliverables are completed within timeframes
  • Creating and implementing systems and processes
  • Using technology to achieve work objectives
  • Analysing project challenges and finding practical solutions
  • Training others in the use of systems and processes, as required
  • Working with the Business Operations Manager on service improvement and quality objectives

About You

As well as relevant project or business support experience, you will demonstrate:

  • Strong project planning and execution skills
  • A systems-thinking approach and the ability to identify gaps and develop solutions
  • A high level of innovation and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft 365
  • Experience with process mapping
  • The ability to gather, analyse and quickly document requirements
  • The confidence to take initiative and work under your own direction
  • The ability to navigate complexity and work flexibly in a dynamic environment
  • A minimum of three years’ relevant project or business support experience
  • Experience in a leadership or management role
  • Working knowledge of the social sector

We’re looking for someone who is a problem solver, activator, communicator and achiever – someone who brings energy and enthusiasm, takes action and gets things done.

At Workwise we believe everyone has skills, talents and potential and we’re dedicated to working together to move mountains for the people using our services! If you believe hope matters and share our passion for creating work connections to support people in finding and living their dreams, we’d love to hear from you!
