Job summary

Community Leisure Management at the Waitomo District Aquatic Centre is seeking Swim Instructors for the SwimMagic Swim School. This part-time role on weekdays offers 10–25 hours weekly, with paid training and opportunities to increase hours. You’ll guide children in water skills in a safe, supportive environment and enjoy complimentary facility access.

You should be enthusiastic, patient, and communicative, with a love for swimming and helping kids grow confidence in the water.

Qualifications

• Part-time availability on weekdays.
• Comfortable working with children of all ages.
• Positive, reliable and communicative attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist swim instruction for children and help with safety.
• Keep the pool area clean and tidy during shifts.
• Provide friendly, bubbly customer service and communicate clearly.

Are you passionate about working with children and love being in the water? The SwimMagic Swim School based at the Waitomo District Aquatic Centre has opportunities for swim instructors to join the swim school team.

We are seeking people who can work part-time on weekdays.

As a swim instructor, your roles and responsibilities will include but are not limited to

Being Flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic

Passionate about swimming and comfortable working with children of all ages

Making sure the pool area is kept clean and tidy

A bubbly personalitywith excellent communication skills.
