Job summary

Ashburton District Council, at EA Networks Centre, is seeking friendly people to join our Learn to Swim team. You’ll help children and adults gain water confidence by teaching swimming in our purpose-built facility, while prioritising safety and a positive atmosphere.

No experience is required as training will be provided. We offer permanent and casual/temporary shifts with options after school and on weekends, in a fun, energetic team environment.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• You’ll be helping everyone from tiny tots to grown-ups gain confidence in the water.

Responsibilities

• We’ll train you up if you’re new to teaching swimming.

AtEA Networks Centre, we’re on the lookout for bubbly, energetic people to join our Learn to Swim team. You’ll be helping everyone from tiny tots to grown-ups gain confidence in the water-and have a blast doing it.

What’s the job?

• Teach swimming in our awesome, purpose-built facility
• Keep things safe, friendly, and full of good vibes
• No experience? No worries - we’ll train you up!

When?

• Permanent shifts:
  • Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and Friday, between the hours of 3:30pm-5:25pm.
  • Saturday, from 8:45am - 12:10pm
  • We will consider applicants for individual shifts, therefore you do not need to be available for all days as mentioned above. You can apply for as little or as many shifts as suits you.
• Casual shifts:Available too-just tell us when you’re free!

You’ll be great if you're:

• Outgoing, enthusiastic, and love working with kids
• A water lover (obviously!)
• Someone who can bring the energy and keep people motivated

We are looking for enthusiastic, outgoing individuals who are creative, motivating and who have the ability to coach others to achieve results. It is essential that you enjoy interacting with children of all ages and have a love for water.
