Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a capable Team Administrator to support Surgical and Perioperative Services at Whangārei Hospital. The role covers administrative, operational and coordination duties across multiple specialties to ensure smooth day‑to‑day running of the directorate.

You will work with Service Managers and multidisciplinary teams, handling meetings, governance, roster management, recruitment support and travel coordination while maintaining records and confidentiality

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Personal Assistant, secretarial or administrative role.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
• Experience with roster administration, workforce coordination or similar scheduling activities
• Excellent organisational, time management and minute-taking skills, with strong attention to detail
• A professional, adaptable and proactive approach, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively under pressure

• Supporting recruitment and onboarding activities
• Arranging travel and events
• Maintaining records and systems
