Job summary

Florence Nightingale Agency is seeking experienced Support Workers / Caregivers to provide home and community-based care in Dunedin.

Flexible shifts, including short, part-day, full-day, and weekends, are available to suit your schedule. Join a dedicated team focused on compassionate, person-centred care and helping clients maintain independence at home.

Qualifications

• Experience as a support worker or caregiver in home or community settings.
• In-home care, disability support, or aged care experience preferred.
• Health and Wellbeing qualification Level 2, 3 or 4 is essential.
• Full New Zealand driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle.
• Ability to work within 15 km of Dunedin.

Responsibilities

• Provide home support, personal care, and community-based assistance to clients in Dunedin.
• Shift options include short, part-day, full-day, and weekends.
• Support clients to maintain independence and participate in daily activities.
• Help build positive, long-term relationships with clients through reliable, compassionate care.

About You

You will ideally have:

• Experience as a support worker, caregiver, or personal care assistant
• Experience in in-home care, community support, disability support, or aged care
• A Level 2, Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification (essential). Applications without a health qualification may not be considered
• A full New Zealand driver’s licence and your own reliable vehicle
• The ability to work within 15km of Dunedin
• A genuine desire to care for others and give back to your community
