Job summary

NZCL in Auckland is hiring permanent Full time Support Workers to assist people in their own homes and residential services. You will help with daily activities, personal cares, meals, and life skills, working in a supportive team with 24/7 coverage, including sleepover rosters.

Applicants need empathy, respect, a driver’s license, and ideally healthcare experience; NZQA Health & Wellbeing training provided.

We are looking for permanent Full time Support Workers for our West and Central Auckland Residential Services.

This is a busy and diverse role, supporting people with various aspects of daily life and to do the things they want to do such as going swimming, personal cares, support with meals, household management tasks and teaching life skills. - The list is endless! Support Workers are part of a team who work shifts or specific rosters providing 24/7 support with the potential of additional sleepover payments included in some rosters.

• People who are passionate about helping others, are kind and understanding
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, including experience with disabilities and challenges behaviours.
• Full driver's license is essential.
• Somebody who has the initiative to push people for their goals, is energetic, outgoing, and can think outside the box. You need to be respectful of others thinking, and their way of living life that may be different to your own.
• Flexibility to work overnight shifts across a roster, including weekends.
