IDEA Services seeks a dedicated Support Worker in Waikato to help adults with intellectual disabilities living at home. You will support clients through night-time routines, manage risk, and ensure safety while providing personalised care.

The role suits someone physically active with resilience and a calm approach to challenging behaviours. A valid NZ driver's license and the right to work in NZ are required. We offer hourly rates with progression opportunities.

Competenze

• Previous caregiving experience preferred.
• Able to work nights and weekends and sleepover shifts as required.
• Full NZ driver's license and right to work in NZ.

IDEA Services supports people with intellectual disabilities to enjoy great lives at home and as part of their community.You will be supporting people with intellectual disabilities living in their own homes to achieve their goals and aspirations.This is meaningful work where you can be creative and make every day interesting in ways that are important to others.

As a Support Worker you will be supporting clients with complex needs, managing risk, ensuring safety, and providing individual care throughout the night. We are looking for someone physically active who has the resilience and confidence to work with challenging behaviours. Previous relevant experience is preferred.

• Preferably previous experience in caregiving or providing personal care for adults.
• A calm nature and confidence to work with challenging behaviours.
• Availability to work a range of shifts, including weekends and occasional sleepover shifts.
• Comfortable and proficient in using computers and tablets daily.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical fitness to provide necessary physical support.
• Full NZ driver's license.
• Full rights to work in NZ.
• Must live locally.
