Job summary

HealthCare New Zealand in Taupo seeks a dedicated Support Worker to assist clients to live independently at home and within the community. You will support meal prep, personal cares, and home management while following care plans and providing compassionate, practical help.

Responsibilities include facilitating community outings and administering medications as directed. A valid NZ driver’s licence and willingness to travel are valued. This is an on-site role within clients’ homes across Taupo.

We are currently seeking candidates located Taupo who are available to work below mentioned shifts and flexible to travel.

Thursday to Monday - 7am 10am & 4pm to 7pm

What does a Support Worker do?

As part of a wider team, you will assist our clients to live as independently as possible, within their homes and community. You will help our clients to achieve their goals and reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support. Responsibilities can be varied and you will follow a care plan, which may include some or all of the below:

• Meal preparation
• Community outings and integration
• Giving medication
• Personal cares (showering, toileting etc)
• Home management
